My Disney Experience Debuts New Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run x ‘Fortnite’ Update
Earlier this summer, we brought you the exciting news that Disney and Epic Games were teaming up to integrate Fortnite into Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
As a reward for riding the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction, guests who have linked their MyDisney and Epic Games accounts receive credits in Smugglers Gambit.

They also unlock the Forsworn Trooper outfit in Fortnite.
“Building on Epic’s technology, Disney’s Imagineers are shaping the future of interactive entertainment, where an experience goes from the physical world into Fortnite. Whether you’re at a Disney Park or playing Fortnite with your friends, fans have new ways to keep their Star Wars™ adventures going. This is only the beginning of what’s possible when world-class storytellers bring their creativity into Fortnite,” said Adam Sussman, President of Epic Games.
Here is how the new experience works.
Instructions Are Now Included in My Disney Experience
A new update to the My Disney Experience app now advertises the Fortnite mission for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
As the app explains, Hondo invites guests to go on a smuggling mission to earn rewards in Fortnite.
The First Step
To start the experience, all guests have to do is link their accounts and accept the mission.

From there, Hondo asks you to collect crates on your smuggling run.
The ride experience itself does not change.
Instead, the crates you collect during your mission are tied to rewards in Fortnite.
How Do Guests Connect?
Guests who accept the mission are detected through their MagicBand, MagicBand+, or an eligible device with Bluetooth enabled.

It should be noted that not everyone in your group needs to accept the mission.
Getting Your Rewards
After your journey aboard Smugglers Run, you will then receive a notification explaining how to claim your Fortnite rewards.

If you are a Fortnite player, this is an amazing opportunity to not only enhance your Smugglers Run experience but also earn rewards.
