Walt Disney World Wait Times for Early September 2026
Happy Labor Day Week, everyone! I hope that my American friends have enjoyed the holiday.
For everyone else, it may be a normal week, but it’s a three-day holiday here. As such, everyone relishes the opportunity to have one final summer fling.
Well, we ordinarily do that, but since it’s been a million degrees lately, the great indoors sounds better.

Hollywood Studios Crowds
How did the combination of a holiday and oppressive heat impact the crowds?
Let’s find out! Here are Walt Disney World’s wait times for the first week of September 2026.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Tree of Life
If any park would feel the heat, it’s Animal Kingdom, which runs hot anyway.
Disney carefully built the habitats here to protect the animals.

So, this place can get a bit warm in the summer anyway. When it’s 95 degrees, you’ll know.
I suspect that element played a factor in this week’s wait times.

Flight of Passage
As you’re about to see, they dropped almost universally week over week.
Here are Animal Kingdom’s average wait times for Labor Day Week:
- Avatar Flight of Passage – 31 minutes, down 7
- Na’vi River Journey – 25 minutes, down 6
- Adventurers Outpost – 23 minutes, down 3
- Kilimanjaro Safaris – 20 minutes, no change
- Bluey’s Wild World – 18 minutes, down 1
- Expedition Everest – 16 minutes, down 3
- Kali River Rapids – 16 minutes, down 12
- Zootopia: Better Zoogether! – 13 minutes, down 1

Disney
All those down areas paint a picture, reinforced by the hard numbers.
Overall, guests stood in line for an average of 20 minutes (!) per attraction. That’s four minutes less than last time and one of the lowest totals you’ll ever see here.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios
We’re going to discuss one massive exception at Hollywood Studios.
Otherwise, the situation was more of the same as Animal Kingdom.

Disney
What’s the exception? Well, Slinky Dog Dash experienced a strange week. The ride failed to open on three different days last week.
By “failed to open,” I mean it never operated on those dates. So, when tourists could ride Slinky Dog Dash, they obviously prioritized it.

Therefore, its behavior flies in the face of everything else in the park.
As proof, here are the average wait times at Hollywood Studios last week:
- Slinky Dog Dash – 86 minutes, up 21
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets – 39 minutes, down 8
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – 35 minutes, down 4
- Red Carpet Dreams – 30 minutes, no change
- Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – 29 minutes, down 4
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway – 28 minutes, down 6
- Toy Story Mania! – 27 minutes, down 9
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – 20 minutes, down 4
- Alien Swirling Saucers – 17 minutes, down 3
- Celebrity Spotlight – 16 minutes, down 2
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue! – 8 minutes, no change

Overall, the park’s attractions averaged a wait of 30 minutes.
That’s three minutes less than last time, and it would have been a LOT more if not for the Slinky Dog Dash weirdness.

Tower of Terror
In fact, with that ride offline, the other attractions ostensibly should have increased their waits.
So, yeah. Hollywood Studios definitely had a strange week.
EPCOT

2026 Food & Wine Festival
Last week represented the first full week of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
I’m mentioning that before showing the park’s data because you’ll notice a difference.

Milled & Mulled
EPCOT held much better than the other two parks we’ve discussed, and we all know why.
Disney has converted Food & Wine into a pure Fall event, at least in terms of park behavior.
Technically, we still have a few days left in the Summer, but that’s not how the parks work. As a rule, the parks clear out a bit as soon as the school year begins.

Since EPCOT skews more to Disney Adults, it behaves a bit differently.
You can tell that by EPCOT’s average wait times last week:
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind – 64 minutes, down 2
- Test Track – 60 minutes, down 2
- Frozen Ever After – 50 minutes, no change
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – 43 minutes, down 1
- Royal Sommerhus – 32 minutes, no change
- Soarin’ Across America – 21 minutes, down 1
- Mission: SPACE – 19 minutes, no change
- Turtle Talk with Crush – 18 minutes, no change
- Meet Mickey & Friends – 17 minutes, down 1
- Living with the Land – 13 minutes, no change
- Spaceship Earth – 12 minutes, no change
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends – 10 minutes, no change
- Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros – 9 minutes, no change
- Journey into Imagination with Figment – 9 minutes, down 1

So, EPCOT’s attractions averaged a wait of 27 minutes, just one less than last time.
This behavior starkly contrasts with that of Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.
Magic Kingdom

- Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover – 9 minutes, down 1
Final Thoughts

Photo: Disney
Overall, Magic Kingdom attractions averaged a wait of 20 minutes, just like the previous week.
Since Magic Kingdom had already gone about as low as it ever does, this isn’t surprising.

However, we’re now in the slow season, at least by Disney standards.
So, I’m genuinely curious whether we’ll witness average wait times in the teens this month. If you’re heading to Walt Disney World over the next few weeks, I think you’re in business!
