Disney Announces Refurbishment of Scat Cat’s Club at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter

If you have been following along here at MickeyBlog, you know that Walt Disney World is in the midst of numerous resort refurbishments.

Right now, major projects are underway at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Yacht Club Resort, and BoardWalk Inn.

Additionally, we have seen room refurbishments take place at Port Orleans – Riverside, Pop Century, and Kidani Village.

Finally, earlier this week, we shared that Disney’s Art of Animation Resort was gearing up for a room overhaul.

Now, we can add another resort refurbishment to the list.

Scat Cat’s Cafe Will Close For Refurbishment Next Month

A new update to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter website has revealed that Scat Cat’s Club – Cafe and Scat Cat’s Club – Lounge are both closing for refurbishment on October 6.

The cafe is expected to reopen in December, while the lounge will remain closed until January 2027.

If you have an upcoming stay at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, you will still be able to enjoy a cocktail, beignets, or coffee.

Temporary Accommodations

During the Scat Cat’s Club refurbishment, a temporary bar will be available near the cafe from 5 PM to 11 PM.

Additionally, beignets and coffee will be available at Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory.

Finally, beginning November 1, the fan-favorite Ghoulish Delight beignets will also be offered.
