Celebrate the Grand Opening of Disney Store Limited Time in New Jersey
Earlier this week, we shared the exciting news that Disney was preparing to open its latest Disney Store Limited Time Location in Paramus, New Jersey.
Created in partnership with Go! Retail Group, the limited-time pop-up returns the Disney Store to its brick-and-mortar origins, delivering magical apparel, accessories, collectibles, and souvenirs to the Garden State.
“Disney Store Limited Time gives us the opportunity to bring the Disney Store experience into new communities, deepen our connections with fans, and learn from how they engage with the brand,” said Patrick Sager, VP Disney Store. “Retail is always evolving, and with the opening of this store in New Jersey we’re creating another flexible experience, meeting fans where they are.”
Here is how the store’s opening day went.
Excitement Was Palpable
Fans lined up bright and early at Westfield Garden State Plaza yesterday to be among the first shoppers at Disney Store Limited Time.

While they waited for the store to open, they received commemorative giveaways, including postcards, stickers, and paper headbands.

These include a Garden State mural and multidimensional window displays that feature Spider-Man and Winnie the Pooh.

As is Disney Store tradition, one lucky guest was chosen to “unlock” the store with a ceremonial key.
“Today we are not just opening a store, we’re opening a door to imagination,” exclaimed the Disney Store team.

It was a magical moment for everyone involved.
The Store’s Unique Decor
Inside the New Jersey Disney Store Limited Time, shoppers find 2,300 square feet of retail space full of accessories, apparel, and collectibles.

The shop features plenty of New Jersey references, including a display of Mickey & Friends in casual streetwear.

Character portraits of Jasmine, Olaf, Winnie the Pooh, and more line the walls.

Even more characters can be found overhead.

Also lining the walls are full-length mirrors complete with Disney decals.

A separate section of the store is designed to look like an old-timey diner.
New Jersey-themed signs, including a fresh bagels advertisement and a marker for Highway 17, complete the scene.

Finally, fans will not want to miss the “magic mirrors” scattered throughout the store.

If you look closely, you may see Chip ‘n’ Dale pop up or Maleficent strolling past a door.
Shelves Lined With Fan-Favorite Collections
Now that we’ve scoped out the store, let’s talk merchandise.
With Halloween just around the corner, there is plenty of spooky season merch on the shelves.
From Urocha-Chan plush to the Ghostie Ghost collection, there is something for everyone!

Inspired by the success of the New York City line at Disney Store Times Square, the new Disney Store Limited Time features an exclusive New Jersey collection.

Other fan-favorite collections, such as the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event iconic plushes, the Disney x Formula 1 collection, and items from Disney Store Japan, are also in stock.

All in all, the Disney Store’s New Jersey debut succeeded in bringing a little bit of magic to the Garden State.
