FULL GUIDE to the 2026 Holiday Season at Disneyland Resort!
The Halloween season just started at Disneyland Resort, but it’s already time to start thinking about the holidays!
With so much to enjoy this upcoming season, like attraction overlays, special décor, a themed festival, and merry entertainment, we need all the time (and help) we can get to plan the perfect holiday trip. And we’re in luck, because Disney Parks Blog just posted its guide to the holidays!

The pre-trip research begins now!
2026 Holiday Season – Disneyland Resort
The holiday season will be celebrated at Disneyland Resort from November 12th, 2026 through January 6th, 2027.
Let’s see how The Happiest Place on Earth will celebrate the holidays this year!
Disneyland Park
General
The 60-foot-tall Christmas tree will once again return to Main Street, U.S.A., immediately immersing guests in the holiday season the second they enter the park.

Of course, Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle will boast its 80,000 shimmering lights, providing a snowy, bright display every night of the season.

Guests can choose to join the Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour, which offers information about resort holiday traditions, stories about Walt Disney and his family, reserved viewing for “A Christmas Fantasy Parade,” and more!

New Offerings
Mickey, Minnie, and the rest of the crew will wear new holiday attire, embodying “the spirit of holiday travel and a wintery alpine gathering.”

Santa’s new location this year will be Mickey’s Toontown Trolley Barn, nestled near Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin!
In previous years, he met guests at the Fantasyland Theatre, but “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” will continue running through the holiday season, so St. Nick needed a new place to call home!

Entertainment
“Believe…In Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular will light up the night sky this holiday season, with special effects projected on Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, “it’s a small world” Holiday, and the Rivers of America.
These locations will also have a “snowfall” of Disney’s iconic snoap (soap snow).

“A Christmas Fantasy Parade” will float down Disneyland’s parade float, featuring reindeer, toy soldiers, gingerbread men, characters, and, of course, Santa Claus!

Ride Overlays
Haunted Mansion Holiday, The Nightmare Before Christmas overlay at Haunted Mansion, will continue running through the holiday season! (The overlay is celebrating its 25th anniversary, by the way.)

“it’s a small world” Holiday will transform the iconic attraction into a winter wonderland, with holiday tunes, seasonal décor, and more!

Disney California Adventure (DCA)
General/Entertainment
“World of Color – Season of Light” returns on November 13th, celebrating the spirit of the holidays with scenes from films like Beauty and the Beast and Inside Out.

The Holiday Toy Drummers will play in Paradise Gardens Park, while Mickey and his friends will meet guests in their winter attire on Buena Vista Street!

Head over to Redwood Creek Challenge Trail during the holiday season for Santa’s Holiday Visit! The area will have seasonal games, outdoor activities, and Santa Claus!

“Mickey’s Happy Holidays” cavalcade will feature Mickey and his pals, inviting families to dance along to the Toy Drummers. This cavalcade travels from Paradise Gardens Park to Hollywood Land.

The Paradise Garden Bandstand will also host live performances, with a rotation of bands and cultural performance groups.
“A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel!” will take place on select days at Buena Vista Street! The performance features Miguel and Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland.

“Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season” will also run on select days at Paradise Gardens Park!
This show features Mirabel and some friends, along with live performances of various songs from Encanto.
Holiday Magic at Cars Land
Just like Halloween Time, Cars Land is the place to be during the holidays!
The area will be decorated with bright lights, wreaths, bows, and merry festivities! At sunset, the “Sh-boom” moment is, somehow, even more special, courtesy of all the holiday lights.

Ride Overlays
DCA’s festive ride overlays will both be at Cars Land! (Go figure–we did say it’s the place to be.) Those overlays are Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree.
(The overlays mostly consist of themed music and lights.)

Disney Festival of Holidays
DCA’s Disney Festival of Holidays will return for another year of holiday cuisine from around the world!
The festival will feature six marketplaces with new and returning flavors. Don’t miss the chance to grab a Sip and Savor Pass to save a little on your festival bites and sips.

Disney ¡Viva Navidad!
This celebration will include the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party, featuring the Three Caballeros and performers, along with characters in festive attire.

Hotels of Disneyland Resort
A 7-foot-tall gingerbread display will return to Grand Californian’s lobby, with touches of Disney flair, of course.
The following themed character dining experiences will also be available this holiday season:
- Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays! at Disneyland Hotel
- Daisy’s Holiday Pajama Party at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
- Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa

Other festive treats and items will arrive at the hotels, at locations like the Grand Californian’s Great Hall Cart, Disneyland Hotel’s Broken Spell Lounge, and Pixar Place’s Great Maple Modern American Eatery.

Tenaya Stone Spa at the Grand Californian will offer themed spa experiences, like the Naughty or Nice foot treatments, Underneath the Tree signature massage, and the Joy of Holiday body treatment.
Hotel Offer
Beginning September 22nd, you can book your holiday stay and save up to 20% off! The offer applies to the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Pixar Place Hotel, and the Villas at Disneyland Hotel for select stays of three or more nights from October 11th through December 18th.

Downtown Disney
Downtown Disney will provide its own holiday magic beginning November 13th, with special décor, festive eats and drinks, limited-time entertainment, and a nightly “snowfall” of snoap.
The Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage will host performances, and Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail will return from November 11th, 2026 through January 6th, 2027.

Holiday Treats and Merchandise
Exciting merchandise will debut this holiday season, like the Mickey Mouse and Family Christmas Collection, Holiday Pastel Collection, Disney Vintage Holiday Collection, and more! They’ll be available across the resort.
Seasonal novelties will also be released, like the Mickey Train Light Up Bucket and Holiday Stitch Christmas Tree Sipper.

Festive treats will return and debut this season, including the Mickey’s Elf Shake at Schmoozies! and the Milk and Cookies Tree-shaped Macaron at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe.
A foodie guide will be released in the coming months, listing all of the holiday items coming to the resort.
