The atmosphere at the Honda Center is electric as fans gather for one of the most anticipated events of D23: The Ultimate Fan Celebration–the Disney Legends Ceremony.

Disney Legends Ceremony
The Disney Legends Ceremony is always a highlight of the event, honoring the visionaries and talent who have helped shape the magic we all know and love. This year’s class of Disney Legends represents the very best of the company’s rich history across film, television, parks, and beyond.
The evening is filled with emotional tributes, surprise guests, and unforgettable moments as each honoree takes the stage to accept their award.

Lin-Manuel Miranda needs no introduction, as he’s created tons of musical hits for various Disney films.
To honor his truly legendary impact, performers took the stage to perform a mashup of some of his songs.

He accepted the honor with a speech, which was jotted down in a VHS box for The Little Mermaid.

He ended his speech by singing a line from “Part of Your World.”

Alan Tudyk, the man of many voices, was honored for his incredible range of work with the company!
Ginnifer Goodwin introduced him to the stage…
…applauding him for his “universe of characters.”
Distinguished Imagineer Kim Irvine was crowned as a Disney Legend today! This is an honor she was quite literally born for, with parents who also dedicated their careers to the company.
The Jonas Brothers got their start with Disney, starring in Camp Rock and Jonas!
The trio accepted the honor together on-stage.
Of course, they had to pull out some Mickey hats and pledge “absolute loyalty to the mouse”!

Anne Hathaway, the people’s princess (of Genovia), was inducted today! Along with her role in The Princess Diaries, she’s also starred as the White Queen in Alice in Wonderland, and Andy Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada.

Susan Egan has worn many shoes for the company, with her most notable roles being Megara in Hercules and Belle on Broadway’s Beauty and the Beast! (If you watch Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration, you can catch her latest performance.)

He shared the wise reminder that “growing old is mandatory, but growing old is not.”

Jerry Bruckheimer was introduced by Orlando Bloom for his work as a producer.
His work includes the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Top Gun, and Remember the Titans!
Eric Goldberg, one of the industry’s top animators and directors, has brought some of our favorite characters to life, including Genie from Aladdin, Phil from Pocahontas, and Louis from Princess and the Frog!
Some of those characters joined the Disneyland Band on-stage to celebrate this honor!

He was brought on-stage with the help of fellow legends, RDJ and Harrison Ford!

While serving the company as CEO, he oversaw key acquisitions and park expansions, along with record-setting films.
Today was a huge day for him, as he was also honored with his own window at Disneyland’s Main Street, U.S.A.!
