It Looks Like the BDX Droids Are Enjoying the D23 Convention!
Every year, fans travel from all over the world to visit D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
Wherever it’s held each year, there’s no denying that excited Disney followers from all different countries will be eager to attend the event, ready to see and hear first-hand all the incredible news from across The Walt Disney Company!
However, we think it’s safe to say that this group of fans we just met perhaps travelled further than most.
All the way from a galaxy far, far away, in fact!
BDX Droids
Yes, it’s a pair of BDX Droids!
Small, bipedal, and full of character, these funny little fellows were over in the Imagineering Showplace today, ready to greet guests and share some Star Wars stories.
Of course, these droids are best known for wandering through the streets of Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and their funny little movements and personalities always make them a hit among guests!
Now, we’re delighted to be able to have a unique meet-and-greet with the droids here at D23, offering a fabulous up-close look at the wonders of modern Imagineering.
Earlier this year, a very limited set of BDX droid popcorn buckets went on sale at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They caused quite the frenzy back in May, so this was like being in the presence of true Disney snack royalty!
Unfortunately, they didn’t have any popcorn for us today, but they did give us some funny looks when we mentioned it.
During last night’s Entertainment Showcase, fans were treated to plenty more details about the upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter, which you can read more about here.
We always love hearing big Star Wars news at the annual D23 events, and hope for more Imagineering magic to come out of tonight’s Horizons panel, too!
