Walt Disney Imagineering Debuts ‘Hugo’s Sweets & Fizz’ at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event
MickeyBlog is reporting live from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and we are bringing you along for the ride.
Throughout the evening, we have been previewing many of the pavilions and experiences awaiting attendees, including the Walt Disney Animation Pavilion, Pixar Pavilion, and the Disney Archives: Uncrated exhibit.
We also made our way to Walt Disney Imagineering’s Horizons Pavilion, where we got a behind-the-scenes look at Walt Disney Imagineering’s work while also catching a glimpse of what’s coming next to the Disney Parks.
While much of the Imagineering Pavilion shed new light on projects that had already been announced, it also unveiled something new.
Hugo’s Sweets & Fizz
As revealed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event’s Imagineering Pavilion, a new interactive Star Wars food truck animatronic show was unveiled.
The miniature on display features Hugo Durant cooking up grub in his food truck.
As you can see, the truck is named Hugo’s Sweets & Fizz.
While stirring, he interacts with Grogu and the Coca-Cola-themed R5 and R2.
At this time, it is unclear if Imagineering has any broader plans for the animatronic food cart, but it would clearly be right at home in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Nearby the truck, Star Wars fans can find the Anzellan Creature Workshop!
The technology here is amazing!
With Imagineering teasing a Star Wars announcement this weekend, could these two displays be clues?
I, for one, hope that we learn more about the updated attraction as D23 progresses.
