This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Disney has some surprises up its sleeve!

Disney’s Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Balloon
Macy’s and Disney have just revealed the new Disney’s Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey character balloon, which will be revealed for the first time at Downtown Disney today for D23 Day!

The new balloon is inspired by Mickey’s role in Disney’s Fantasia, and it’s on display now for Disneyland visitors!

It measures 31 feet wide, 62 feet long, and 42 feet high.

The new balloon was inflated for the first time in Downtown Disney, so you can go check it out now.
Sorcerer Mickey Balloon
This is not the first time Mickey has appeared at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. In 1934, Mickey was the first Disney character balloon to take flight!
In fact, Disney has participated in 90 (out of 100) Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades.
