Heat Index Could Reach 110 Degrees Near Disney World Today

Visitors heading to Walt Disney World should prepare for dangerous heat across the Orlando area.

A Heat Advisory remains in effect through 8 p.m. on August 11, with heat index values possibly reaching 110 degrees.
Orange and multiple central Florida counties are included in the advisory. If you are visiting Disney World or any central Florida attraction, you will want to plan ahead and be prepared.

High temperatures combined with intense humidity can quickly increase the risk of heat-related illness, especially during extended outdoor activity.
Be sure to drink water throughout the day, take frequent air-conditioned breaks, and avoid pushing through exhaustion. Lightweight clothing, sunscreen and cooling towels may also help!
