Disney+ to Become the Global Home of Formula E
Disney+ is getting an infusion of high-speed content, as the streaming service will become the official home of Formula E.
Today, Disney announced a multi-year deal with the motorsport series that will bring all Formula E races to Disney+ and ESPN+ in the United States and Disney+ in most international markets.

“Formula E combines world-class competition, groundbreaking technology, and sustainability in a way that’s unlike any other sport,” said Joe Earley, Co-President, Direct-to-Consumer, Disney Entertainment. “We’re excited to help power the championship’s next chapter on Disney+ and to give fans around the globe front-row access to every adrenaline-fueled race as it happens.”
The Fun Begins December 18
The new agreement kicks off on December 18 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and continues with stops in Austin, Miami, Monaco, and Mexico City.

In total, the 2026/2027 season will span 21 rounds across 13 events.
Fans tuning into Disney+ and ESPN+ will also have access to comprehensive coverage of every event, including preview and review shows, qualifying race sessions, and highlights.

The Disney+ Library Continues to Grow
The addition of Formula E is just the latest example of Disney+ beefing up its sports library.

The streamer has also added the 2026 FIFA World Cup in South America, select LALIGA football rights in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, the UK, Ireland, and France, NBA games in the Philippines, and the UEFA Women’s Champions League across Europe and Latin America.
