We’re at the First Night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2026!

Welcome to the FIRST night of the 2026 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

It’s only August, but we don’t mind an early Halloween celebration when it comes to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Follow along with us as we check out all the special decor, entertainment, food, and more. 

This post will be updated throughout the night, so keep checking back for more!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates

This year, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on select evenings between August 7th and October 31st in Magic Kingdom. Prices range from $119 to $229 for guests ages 10 and up.

Although some party dates have already sold out, there are a few dates still available — so don’t wait too long to get your tickets!

Party Hours

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place from 7PM to 12AM, with the park closing to non-party guests at 6PM. 

Ticketholders can actually enter the park as early as 4PM, which gives them an extra three hours in Magic Kingdom before the party begins. It’s a great way to get in the spirit ahead of the festivities!

Note that per Disney’s weather policy, certain attractions may close and outdoor entertainment may be limited in the event of adverse weather.

Map & Checking In

We arrived at Magic Kingdom around 3PM, before the crowds! 

Note that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticketholders can’t get into the park before 4PM, unless you also have a park ticket. 

Signs were already out directing party guests to the correct entrance line.

Fun fact — the Cast Member costumes are NEW this year! We’ll get into that more below.

Because Magic Kingdom is still open to regular guests at 4PM, there is a separate line for party ticketholders. As a result, there are signs directing guests where to go.

Tonight’s party is sold out. 

Magic Kingdom closes at 6PM for regular park ticketholders.

New Costumes

This year, Disney World debuted NEW party costumes! Gone are the previous costumes that were brightly colored in shades of green, purple, yellow, and orange. 

This year, Disney has opted for a more muted look, with tops featuring a multi-colored coffin-shaped skeleton print on a deep purple background and dark green pants.

Cast Members can also choose between a purple bat bow-tie or matching headband!

Wristband Distribution

You must check into the event at a wristband distribution center, even if you enter the park before 7PM. We checked in at the location across from Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor in Tomorrowland. 

Other check-in locations include Magic Kingdom’s entrance, Mickey’s PhilharMagic in Fantasyland, and Tortuga Tavern in Adventureland.

We were given a wristband…

…a trick-or-treat bag, a map, and a Twix! You can also pick up the map separately in other areas of the park.

Trick-or-Treat Trails

To no one’s surprise, trick-or-treating is essential to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! You don’t HAVE to trick-or-treat, but if you want some free candy, find a Trick-or-Treat Trail!

Mars Wrigley, Werther’s Original, and YumEarth are the official sponsors this year.

The map lists every trail location, and large inflatable markers indicate each trail. At night, they light up!

This year’s trick-or-treat bag says “Boo to You” with the Hitchhiking Ghosts on one side…

…and “Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party,” with Mickey and Minnie, on the other side. 

Allergy-friendly options also exist for guests! 

You can pick up your treats directly at an Allergy Request Center. You can find the Allergy Request Centers at the Liberty Square Ticket Office and Merchant of Venus from 7PM to midnight.

Merchandise

For the party, Disney releases exclusive merchandise items! These items are available exclusively to ticketholders during the party at the Emporium on Main Street and Star Traders in Tomorrowland.

There is also exclusive merchandise for Annual Passholders!

When it comes to popcorn buckets, this year there are TWO party-exclusive options — the Haunted Mansion’s Hatbox Ghost…

…and the Headless Horseman.

Attractions

If you’re looking for a unique ride experience, three Magic Kingdom attractions get a Halloween overlay! Space Mountain rocks with spooky background music, the Mad Tea Party gets special lighting effects, and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor features jokes with a Halloween twist.

There are also several spooky photo backdrops available throughout the park.

If you’re taking photos with characters, you can typically get official PhotoPass pictures, or you can ask a Cast Member to take photos with your phone/camera. This varies depending on which Cast Members are available!

You must purchase Memory Maker to gain access to PhotoPass photos.

Characters

Are you ready to meet some characters?? Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party gives ticketholders the unique opportunity to see Disney characters in their Halloween costumes!

This year, it was a BIG surprise to find Haunted Mansion characters greeting guests on Market Street!

One of the most popular character meet-and-greets is Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. They can be found at the Town Square Theater. Jack had a NEW look last year, which is back again this year!

This meet-and-greet typically has one of the longest wait times of the evening, so we recommend getting in line as early as you can.

Over at Storybook Circus, find Disney characters like Donald, Daisy, and Pluto.

Several forms of live entertainment take place throughout the night!

Dance Parties

There are several dance parties to check out this year, lasting from 7PM to 12AM.

Check out the Destination DescenDANCE Party at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe! This dance party includes music and dance moves inspired by the Descendants movies. 

The new dance party, A Masquerade with Stitch, can be found at the Rockettower Plaza Stage! This party will showcase Stitch, Lilo, and Angel playing with Lilo’s Costume Trunk.

In Adventureland, Captain Jack Sparrow can be found carrying out some pirate antics at the new Captain Jack’s Buccaneer Bash experience. 

Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular

The Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular show takes place on the Cinderella Castle stage. Led by the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus, this show features appearances from Disney Villains such as Oogie Boogie, Dr. Facilier, and Maleficent!

Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade

Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade takes place at 8:15PM and 11:15PM, led by the Headless Horseman!

It features characters like Minnie Mouse, Clarabelle Cow, and Daisy Duck in their Halloween costumes, Hitchhiking Ghosts and the Bride from Haunted Mansion, and Disney Villains, of course!

Mickey’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks

Mickey’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular takes place at 10PM. Hosted by Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas, this show features fireworks, projections, dancing skeletons, ghosts, Disney Villains, and more!

Live Music

Find the Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet performing over in Frontierland.

Food

There’s quite a bit of exclusive food at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and we had to give a few of the new dishes a try!

Be Our Guest Restaurant and Cinderella’s Royal Table will be serving party-exclusive menu items beginning at 4PM on party nights. The Plaza Restaurant will be serving Halloween-themed items all day and night. 

The Beak & Barrel will also be open during the party!
