Disney Expands the Descendants Universe With ‘Hidden Heroes: A Descendants Story’
Get ready, Descendants fans! The franchise is growing once again with a brand-new production focused on your favorite Disney sidekicks.
Disney has officially greenlit Hidden Heroes: A Descendants Story, a new musical adventure heading to Disney Channel and Disney+. And you don’t have to wait too long! Production is set to begin next week.

D23 just shared the news, and this new storyline sounds pretty cool. Instead of following the children of heroes and villains, this film shines the spotlight on the descendants of Disney’s legendary sidekicks.
According to Disney, hidden inside every fairy tale is Sidekick Academy, a secret training school where future partners prepare for their own adventures.

When two villains threaten the academy, a group of new recruits must work together to protect the fairytale world without help from heroes or their parents. Fans can expect singing, dancing, and new music.
The cast includes Dior Goodjohn, Momona Tamada, Jacob Rodriguez, Eva Fossaceca Smedley, Harry Jones, Rhys Dawkins, Connor Wong, and Kyra Wong. It will be directed by Jude Weng.

The story picks up after the events of Descendants: The Rise of Red. Red and Chloe believe they successfully changed the past and created a better future.
However, their actions lead to unexpected consequences when a new villain, Maddox Hatter, emerges and captures the Queen of Hearts.
To save Wonderland, Red and Chloe join forces. Fans can expect returning faves and several new characters, including Pink, Max Hatter, Luis Madrigal, and Hazel Hook.
