Disneyland Wait Times for August 2026
So, how was your summer? Yup, I agree. It was definitely too hot.As for me, I’m the idiot who bought a Ninja SLUSHi but never remembered to use it.
In my defense, my wife ate some salad, and if you’ve been reading the news, you know how that went. Besides, the summer always flies by, while the winter crawls along at a glacial pace.

For Disney, that’s not great news since summer vacations have anchored the brand.
Still, July remains strong as a rule, and I know it was at Walt Disney World.

About Disneyland Park
In three weeks, Oogie Boogie Bash season begins at Disneyland. This year’s first event will take place on August 18th, meaning Halloween season has almost arrived.
I’m saying because I know the calendar indicates we’re not yet halfway through the summer. There’s what the calendar says, and then there’s how we live our lives.

At Disneyland, the first signs of fall have already arrived at the parks.
In just a few days, Disney will completely switch to fall, straight down to the merchandise.

Disneyland will soon become the pumpkin capital of the West Coast. For the past month, it’s been the sweatiest place in California, though.
While the weather hasn’t been as oppressive as in Orlando, it has been a problem. So, I can’t help but wonder whether the heat kept away some guests.

About These Wait Times

I can explain Space Mountain’s drop. It switched from Hyperspace Mountain.
Everything else reflects a slower time at Disneyland Park last month.
“it’s a small world”
Guests waited for an average of 24 minutes per attraction.
That’s five minutes less than last time and three minutes less than a year ago.
Mickey’s Toontown
My inclination is to think the weather impacted the crowds.
However, we’ve only discussed one park. So, let’s wait a minute before jumping to that conclusion.

Here are Disney California Adventure’s average wait times last month:
- Radiator Springs Racers – 73 minutes, down 9
- Soarin’ Across America – 52 minutes, up 9
- Toy Story Midway Mania! – 48 minutes, down 3
- Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! – 44 minutes, down 23
- WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure – 43 minutes, down 3
- Grizzly River Run – 38 minutes, down 1
- Goofy’s Sky School – 37 minutes, down 5
- Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! – 36 minutes, down 3
- The Incredicoaster – 31 minutes, down 6
- Pixar Pal-A-Round – 26 minutes, down 5
- The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure – 19 minutes, down 2
- Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters – 19 minutes, down 5
- Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind – 16 minutes, down 2
- Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree – 16 minutes, down 3

Overall, DCA attractions required an average wait of 30 minutes.
That’s four minutes less than last time and would be worse if not for one attraction.

As a reminder, despite the name, we’re discussing July’s data.
Disneyland fans obviously wanted to try the patriotic version of Soarin’.

Otherwise, literally everything else at the park averaged a shorter wait than in June.
DCA’s wait times dropped two minutes from a year ago at this time. So, yeah. The parks were less crowded in July, likely due to the weather.
