Disney Provides More Details on Massive Cruise Line Expansion Plans
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog over the last several months, you know that Disney Cruise Line is in the midst of a massive expansion.
In just the last couple of years, we have seen the Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny, and Disney Adventure join the fleet.

Additionally, as we speak, the Disney Believe is under construction in Papenburg, Germany, while the Oriental Land Company is developing Disney Cruise Line Japan.
Needless to say, this is an exciting time for the cruise line.

Now, we have an exciting update to share.
Disney’s Cruise Line Expansion Plans
Wall Street’s attention was once again focused on Disney this morning as Josh D’Amaro presented the company’s fiscal third-quarter 2026 earnings.

While today’s presentation was light on new announcements, with Disney seemingly saving its biggest reveals for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the company did provide additional clarity on the future expansion of Disney Cruise Line.
Looking ahead, the Disney Believe is scheduled to debut in late 2027.

After that, Disney Cruise Line will not launch another ship until its 11th vessel joins the fleet in 2029.
That same year will also see the debut of Disney Cruise Line Japan, followed by a 12th Disney Cruise Line ship later in the calendar year.

Finally, the fleet’s 13th ship is scheduled to launch in late 2030.

In other words, Disney plans to grow from its current fleet to 13 ships by the end of the decade.
