Disney Announces Consumer Products Restructuring Ahead of Tomorrow’s Earnings Call
Disney has announced a significant change to its corporate hierarchy just hours before the company’s earnings call.
Beginning in October 2026, Disney Consumer Products will move the majority of its operations from Disney Experiences to Disney Entertainment.

According to Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum and Disney Entertainment Chairman Alan Bergman, the change is being made to create stronger alignment between Disney’s consumer products business and its film and television studios.
The goal is to develop content that drives merchandise and licensing opportunities from the earliest stages of production.

“Disney Consumer Products plays a pivotal role in translating Disney stories into everyday consumer experiences, helping fans connect with the characters, worlds and memories they love,” Mazloum and Bergman said. “At its best, this work happens when storytelling, commerce and experiences come together from the very beginning, creating cohesion across the entire Disney ecosystem.”
Leadership Will Remain in Place
At this time, it appears that Disney Consumer Products President Lisa Baldzicki will remain in her current role.

She assumed the position last March as part of a broader restructuring that saw former Disney Consumer Products President Tasia Filippatos promoted to president of Disney Parks International.

“This evolution honors the incredible work of Disney Consumer Products employees around the world,” Mazloum and Bergman continued. “This positions us to create even greater opportunities for Disney stories, characters, products and experiences in the years ahead.”
Two Divisions Have Moved to Entertainment This Year
The transfer of Disney Consumer Products is the second major division to move from Disney Experiences to Disney Entertainment this year.

In March, the company announced that Disney Games would also transition from Disney Experiences to Disney Entertainment.
According to Disney, additional details about the latest organizational change will be shared in the coming months.
