PHOTOS: The Tower of Terror Exterior Refurbishment Has Expanded Its Scope
2026 has been an exciting time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with work continuing on new attractions and lands across the park.
Over the past several months, we have seen Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets open, the Walt Disney Studios Lot debut, and work continue on Monstropolis.
Additionally, The Mandalorian and Grogu have joined Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and we are eagerly awaiting the opening of The Magic of Disney Animation.

Finally, there is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
The Tower of Terror Exterior Refurbishment
Earlier this month, we brought you the news that an exterior refurbishment of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror had begun.
At the time, scaffolding was visible on the attraction’s upper levels, and tarps blocked off certain sections of the facade.
Now, we have a new update to share.
The Scene From Hollywood Studios
When visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios this afternoon, we noticed that much more scaffolding has been erected around The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
As you can see, the side of the facade is now almost completely covered on the upper levels.
Here is another look.
The construction equipment extends halfway up the tower itself.
Clearly, this is a fairly major refurbishment.
Additionally, tarps still cover select sections of the building.
At this time, Disney has not provided any details on the refurbishment.
It does, however, look like the attraction is getting some major exterior work.
