Disneyland’s Magic Key License Plate Frames Are Available, But There’s a Catch!

We’re spending our Friday at Disneyland Resort!

So far, we braved the Lorcana crowds in Downtown Disney, watched the birthday edition of “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade,” and shopped for plush keychains of Chef Mickey and his crew. 

But our next sighting in the resort is only for Magic Key holders…and there’s a catch. 

Magic Key License Plate Frame – Disneyland Park

Through July 26th, Magic Key holders can cruise over to Disneyland Park to grab a complimentary Magic Key License Plate Frame!

The giveaway event can only be accessed via virtual queue using the Disneyland app. The virtual queue opens at noon each day, with pick-up times occurring at Star Wars Launch Bay from 2PM to 8PM.

Once your group is called, you only have one hour to pick up your license plate frame.

And yes–there’s a line when you get there. 

Here it is! 

The blue and purple frame has Disneyland Resort and Magic Key logos, along with various designs of Mickey and his crew having fun in the resort. 

During our return time, Cast Members were also handing out free ice cream bars! 

We were able to choose either an Outshine Fruit Bar or a Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar. 

You already know which one we chose.

Now, for the catch–despite this being a highly desired Magic Key freebie, only the Inspire, Believe, and Explore Keys can get into the park during the giveaway event. (The Explore Key is blocked out on Fridays and Saturdays.)

That means Magic Key holders with Enchant or Imagine Keys are unable to obtain their Magic Key License Plate Frame. 

So, if you’re a Magic Key holder who isn’t blocked out during the event, don’t miss the chance to grab your own Magic Key License Plate Frame!
