New Transportation Upgrades Arrive at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Being one of Walt Disney World’s luxurious Magic Kingdom Resort Area properties, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is certainly not lacking in the transportation department.
With an amazing range of road, water, and Monorail links already connecting the Poly with different locations across Disney property, it’s easy to understand why this resort is so popular among guests.
Better still, we love to see how the resort constantly evolves these services to keep up with guest demand, which is why we’re so excited to report on an all-new upgrade that has just become available this week!
A New Bus Loop Opens at Disney’s Polynesian Resort
Now, admittedly, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has had a lot of construction going on recently.
But, today’s work update is less about building work, and a bit more around…roadworks!
That’s right, if you’re looking at our photos and wondering where this smooth tarmac snaking around the Polynesian parking lot is leading towards, then we’ve got news for you!
It’s a brand new bus stop, ready to whisk Poly guests on the road to magical adventures!
Just like all other Walt Disney World resorts, the Polynesian offers a handy, free bus transportation service, allowing guests to easily reach a wide range of destinations across Disney property.
Although the Polynesian already offers Monorail and ferryboat links, there are still a number of locations only reachable via road from this resort, so we’re sure this new addition will streamline transportation like never before!
Ready to Whisk You on an Adventure!
So, where is this smart new bus stop?
Well, it’s handily located next to the main hotel parking lot, near the resort’s Rarotonga building.
And, look! A Pluto bus is already there, ready to pick up waiting guests and whisk them away to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Yep, so Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of the locations serviced by this new bus loop, which will collect guests from stop number one.
Stop number two is where guests can board a bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Blizzard Beach, while stop number three services Disney Springs and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon!
Of course, the Monorail service links the Polynesian to both EPCOT and Magic Kingdom.
At this point, neither of those two parks is serviced by this new bus loop. However, during the rare occasions when the Monorail may be out of operation, alternative bus transportation will likely be provided.
We love seeing a shaded bus stop here in Orlando, and this fresh new area sure looks like an inviting place to sit and wait for an adventure.
Keeping in theme with the tropical vibes of the resort, the bus stop features seating and signage, and even a designated spot for disabled guests to safely wait to board.
