A Heat Alert has been issued for Orange County and several surrounding Central Florida counties. Forecasters warn that high temperatures combined with high humidity could create a high heat index!

Visitors spending the day in Central Florida should plan for frequent indoor breaks, stay hydrated, and seek air-conditioned spaces during the hottest part of the afternoon.
While summer heat is common in Central Florida, these conditions can increase the risk of heat-related illness, especially for guests spending long hours outdoors.
Latest Heat Advisory
According to the most recent weather advisory, dangerous heat and humidity are expected to create conditions that increase the risk of heat-related illnesses.
The area is expecting heat index values over 100° with temperatures feeling like it is 108°. The warning is in effect from 11 AM to 7 PM this evening. Hot temperatures and high humidity can lead to serious heat illnesses.
