Disneyland Will Finish the Summer Strong
The Happiest Place on Earth is currently celebrating its anniversary, and that’s not all.
With Star Wars, Bluey, and D23 in the offing, the parks are amazing right now.

Throughout Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., vibrant colors and bold banners take over Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, Downtown Disney District and the Hotels of Disneyland Resort. Themed décor such as a 50-foot sculpture inspired by the Sleeping Beauty Castle will be in the Esplanade, while the floral Mickey is adorned with vibrant flowers. Disneyland will DEFINITELY finish the summer strong. Here’s why.
The Year-Long Anniversary Party
On July 17th, Disneyland Resort will turn 71 years old. Since Disney loves a good party, its 70th anniversary celebration is still a thing a year later.
Disney unveiled some amazing limited-time activities as part of its anniversary. You still have a little over a month to enjoy them all.

So, let’s talk about the highlights of Disneyland70, starting with the shows. Throughout Disneyland 70, Disney California Adventure is hosting World of Color Happiness!
This may be the most fitting nighttime presentation Disney has ever done due to its inspiration. When Disneyland opened in 1955, Walt Disney famously said, “To all who come to this happy place, welcome.”

World of Color Happiness!
World of Color Happiness! embraces this premise with a “kaleidoscope of emotions” hosted by Inside Out characters.
Meanwhile, Disneyland Park has brought back the beloved Paint the Night Parade for a return engagement. You know how great it is.

Park guests also get to watch Wondrous Journeys, a nighttime spectacular that celebrates big hero moments.
Sleeping Beauty Castle and Main Street, U.S.A. display special effects from Big Hero 6, Encanto, Frozen, and Hercules, among others.

DCA gets its own parade, too, as Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! has returned for another round.
Several of these activities will end at the conclusion of the 2026 D23 Expo.

So, you have about five weeks to celebrate happiness in all forms at Disneyland Resort.
Speaking of the D23 Expo, Disney just revealed several of the panels and activities for this year’s event.

It’s stunning how much is happening from now through mid-August at Disneyland and D23.
Star Wars Season
In case you missed it, we’re in the middle of a new Star Wars evolution at Disneyland Park. After seven years, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge just changed in two key ways.
Most importantly, Disney has tossed out the hard timeline that prevented multiple Star Wars stories from unfolding in the themed land. Historically, guests could only encounter characters like Rey and Kylo Ren from the new trilogy.

Due to the change, you can now interact with your favorites from the holy trilogy.
Yes, Luke & Leia, Darth Vader, and Han Solo have all arrived on Batuu.

To celebrate the release of the new film, The Mandalorian & Grogu, BDX droids are also roaming around Galaxy’s Edge.
You can find them at Black Spire Station, where the droids walk around and chirp happily.

BDX Droids
The other big change is a permanent one at Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. Disney has introduced a new mission here, and it stars the Mandalorian and Grogu.
In fact, the Engineers who sit at the back of the cockpit can interact with Baby Yoda throughout the ride.
Obviously, Galaxy’s Edge is more vibrant than ever, so this is an ideal time to visit the parks, play with a few droids, and talk smack to Darth Vader.

What’s he gonna do? Force choke you?
Hang Out with Bluey
Have you heard about Bluey’s Best Day Ever!? Yes, after years of hopes and wishes, Disney finally brought this dream into reality.
When families enter the park, they should head straight to Fantasyland Theatre to get in line for Bluey’s Best Day Ever!
Imagineers have transformed the entire space into Bluey’s School, but that’s not even the best part.

The school is currently having a Fun Fair.
As part of this activity, Bluey and her little sister Bingo perform on stage.

Disney has crafted a charming show featuring “comedic performers and musicians,” and that’s not all. Kids can also participate in popular games like Keepy Uppy.
Plus, they can mimic dance movements from the Bluey series as a part of the presentation. Bluey’s Best Day Ever! is unquestionably the most popular hang out spot at the park right now for families.

It’s that much better in combination with Disneyland 70, especially for kids.
Once they’re done, they can go visit Mickey and Minnie Mouse, who are wearing their special anniversary garb.
You can take photos for memories that will last a lifetime here.
Other Summer Fun… and a Summer Deal!
Bluey isn’t the only one hosting a party this summer. You’ll find another one at Tomorrowland Terrace.
Stitch’s Interplanetary Beach Party Blast is a wild space adventure hosted by Stitch.
You can listen to some of Experiment 626’s favorite music – I’m guessing plenty of Elvis – and watch him break out a few dance moves, too.

At DCA, you’ll find another limited-time party. This one’s at Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!
From now through August 30th, families can enjoy the Disney Friends Dance Party.

Disney Friends Dance Party
It’s pretty much what it sounds like and is incredibly popular with kids. You’ll also want to pick up a Mickey’s Park Rangers activity book at Disneyland Park.
Once you complete each activity, you’ll get a stamp and a keepsake sticker. Disney has obviously hyper focused on giving kids a wonderful summer vacation.

They haven’t forgotten mom and dad, though. For a limited time, Disney is selling evening tickets. These are available from July 12th through August 5th, 2026.
For just $59 you can enter Disneyland Park at $7 p.m. and stay until close. DCA is even easier, with admission starting at 5 p.m.
