Do You Know About These Hidden Details in Toy Story Land at Disney World?

With Toy Story 5 now in theaters and breaking new box office records, there’s no better time to revisit Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. 

From attraction queues to dining locations, Andy’s backyard is packed with hidden details, references, and Easter eggs inspired by the beloved Pixar franchise. How many of these did you know?

The Queue

The Toy Story Mania! queue places guests inside a giant play set filled with classic toys and midway games. Jessie and Rex help welcome guests to the attraction with the colorful carnival booths

Hidden details? Look for:

• Barrel of Monkeys and Bo Peep’s sheep
• A vintage View-Master featuring Disneyland’s Tomorrowland
• Lincoln Logs, Monopoly money, UNO cards, and an Etch A Sketch
• Andy’s drawings of Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and more

Then, before boarding, watch for the barcode reading “121506.” This is a tribute to December 15, 2006, when the attraction was announced.

Throughout the ride, themed snack stands feature characters such as Slinky Dog, Wheezy, and Rocky Gibraltar. 

And how sweet is this? One of the most meaningful details appears at the end: a copy of Tin Toy, Pixar’s award-winning short film that inspired Toy Story.

Slinky Dog Dash Tells a Unique Story

Andy built Slinky Dog Dash using his Dash & Dodge Mega Coaster Kit, and the queue reveals how it all came together. 

There are so many cool details here! Keep an eye out for:

• Buster’s dog tag
• Crayons, glue, and toy tools
• Slinky Dog-Gone Bowl game cards
• A Squeaky Penguin Bath Toy package
• Andy’s hand-drawn coaster plans

Then hop on! During the ride, guests can spot Jessie and Rex balancing on Jenga blocks, unique views of Toy Story Land, and Wheezy singing in front of a book titled Mr. Pricklepants Songs for Singing,. Then take a closer look at the book! It is the sheet music for You’ve Got a Friend in Me.

This fun coaster races and twists around a custom track surrounded by toys that Andy has carefully placed throughout.

Alien Swirling Saucers Fun

Inspired by Andy’s love of Pizza Planet, Alien Swirling Saucers combines the Alien playset with Buzz Lightyear’s Star Command toys.

The queue is so much fun and includes interactive missions where guests help Buzz battle meteor showers, robot drones, and Emperor Zurg.

Once aboard, look for:

• Pizza-slice rockets
• The Claw selecting an Alien overhead
• Pizza Planet-inspired ride platforms
• Hidden pepperoni and mushroom decorations
• An Alien that resembles the character from Toy Story Mania

Be sure to listen up! The attraction’s soundtrack also mixes electronic beats with songs from the Toy Story films.

Don’t Skip Woody’s Lunch Box and Roundup Rodeo BBQ

The storytelling here extends beyond the rides.

At Woody’s Lunch Box, guests will find Woody’s Roundup references, Green Army Men observation posts, dollhouse furniture, and a sweet note from Andy’s mom reading, “You’re my favorite deputy!”

And Roundup Rodeo BBQ is a popular stop!

It transforms cardboard, paper, and supplies into a western dining location starring Woody, Jessie, Bullseye, Bo Peep, and more.

The restaurant’s playful props and hand-drawn signs make it feel like one of Andy’s latest creations. So cute!
