Heat Advisory Issued for Walt Disney World and Surrounding Areas!
If you are lucky enough to be visiting Central Florida, you will enjoy sunny days and beautiful weather. However, you are also dealing with some extreme temperatures this time of year.
Guests visiting Walt Disney World should be prepared for extreme heat as a Heat Advisory has been issued across much of Central Florida, including Orange and Osceola counties.

According to the most recent weather advisory, dangerous heat and humidity are expected to create conditions that increase the risk of heat-related illnesses.
The area is expecting heat index values up to 120° in effect from 11 AM to 7 PM this evening. Hot temperatures and high humidity can lead to serious heat illnesses.

These high temperatures are expected to stick around for the next few days, but clouds and storms should help keep things a bit more comfortable.

It is absolutely necessary to stay hydrated, limit time in direct sunlight, and take frequent breaks in air-conditioned locations whenever possible.

Even though it is hot, you can still enjoy your Disney vacation with a few precautions.

- Take frequent breaks indoors and take advantage of indoor attractions and shows
- Drink lots of water
- Use cooling towels, fans, or umbrellas
- Avoid outdoor shows or queues during peak heat hours
- Know the symptoms of heat illness: dizziness, nausea, headache, rapid pulse
