Bob Iger Returns to Shanghai Disney as the Resort Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary
A magical moment in Disney history occurred this morning as Shanghai Disney Resort officially celebrated its 10th anniversary.
As crazy as it sounds, the distinctly Disney and authentically Chinese theme park has been operating for a decade, bringing the magic of Disney to a new generation of guests.

To commemorate the occasion, Shanghai Disneyland threw a party this morning!
Shanghai Disney Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary
During the festivities, the park debuted a giant birthday cake inspired by its eight themed lands. Cast Members and guests were joined by more than 50 Disney characters for the event.

The Disney stars, however, were not the only VIPs in Shanghai for the anniversary celebration.
Bob Iger Returns
Former Disney CEO Bob Iger returned to Shanghai Disneyland this morning to commemorate the park’s 10th anniversary.

Iger, of course, oversaw the creation and opening of the park.
Joined by his wife, Willow Bay, Iger was all smiles as he celebrated the milestone anniversary.

Also on hand for the festivities was current Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro, alongside Disney Experiences executives Thomas Mazloum, Tasia Filippatos, and Andrew Bolstein.

Needless to say, it was a day of celebration and optimism at Shanghai Disney.
