High Temps and Heat Moving Into Central Florida This Weekend
Things are heating up in Central Florida… literally. Triple-digit heat index values are expected over the next few days.

If you thought summer had already arrived, Central Florida’s upcoming forecast may convince you otherwise.
Meteorologists warn that a prolonged stretch of dangerous heat will move into the region beginning this weekend and continuing into next week.
According to local forecasts, “feels like” temperatures could climb into the triple digits across much of Central Florida.
Local areas, including Disney World, may see heat index values reaching as high as 103 degrees during the afternoon hours.

Air temperatures will remain close to seasonal averages, but the increasing humidity is expected to make conditions feel much hotter.
The combination of heat and moisture can place added stress on the body, especially during outdoor activities.

Forecasters say the highest heat index values are expected during the late afternoon, with some locations across the region reaching or exceeding 100 degrees through much of next week.
