Meet Will, a Director in Global Security Operations whose path from the Army Reserves to Disney has been defined by leadership, service, and growth.
Finding a New Mission at Disney

Before joining Disney in 2007, Will spent three years serving in the Army Reserves both in the United States and overseas. As he prepared to transition out of military service, he found a natural fit with Disney.
“I was already living in two worlds when I applied to Disney,” Will shared. “The through line in both careers was ‘service’ – I felt like I was helping people and making a difference.”

Throughout his nearly two decades with Disney, Will has remained within Global Security, taking on new challenges and expanding his skills.
He credits supportive leaders and a willingness to step outside his comfort zone for helping him advance.

Will says many lessons from his military background continue to shape his leadership style today. “The most important asset any organization has is its people.”
While he values the discipline and mission-focused mindset he developed in the military, he also appreciates Disney’s collaborative culture and emphasis on teamwork.
Advice for Future Disney Cast Members
Will shared his advice and encouraged veterans to consider a career at Disney. His best advice is to use networking, connect with fellow veterans, research opportunities, and stay persistent.
“If you see a role that you are interested in, apply for it, go through the process and do not give up!”
