Massachusetts Woman Arrested After Incident at Steakhouse 71
In the latest episode of “Things Gone Horribly Wrong at Walt Disney World,” a Massachusetts woman was arrested last month after getting into an altercation with a Cast Member at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Leslie Helen Varley is facing charges of battery, robbery, and criminal mischief after causing a scene at the beloved Disney resort.
Here is the story.
The Incident
The incident in question began on the evening of May 19, when Varley confronted a Steakhouse 71 Cast Member about “issues with her party size.”

Things then escalated when she heard a Cast Member comment on her disabled daughter touching one of his peers.
“Leslie became irate and threw three cups of water at (the employee),” the affidavit reads. “All three cups made contact with the front of (his) body. Leslie then stood up and approached (him), snatching his name tag from his person.”
After her outburst, Varley began exiting the restaurant and heading toward the front of the resort. The Cast Member in question followed behind.
According to News 6, the guest also broke four glasses, dropping each one on the floor.
Police Were Eventually Called to the Scene
Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to Disney’s Contemporary Resort at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Varley was subsequently arrested and, as previously mentioned, now faces charges of battery, criminal mischief, and robbery.
