runDisney Provides a New Update on the 2027 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend Registration Delay
What was supposed to be an exciting morning for runDisney participants turned into a major disappointment today when registration for the 2027 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend did not open as planned.
Runners from around the world logged onto runDisney’s website this morning, as registration for the fan-favorite event was supposed to open at 10:00 a.m.

Unfortunately, things did not go as planned.
Registration Has Been Delayed
Runners hoping to register for the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend this morning were greeted by an alert that registration had been delayed.

Disney provided subsequent updates at 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., but neither offered much clarity.
“We know many of you are eager to register for the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, and we apologize for the delay,” the message read.
“Unfortunately, registration will not take place today. We’ll share an update on runDisney social accounts by 8:00 PM ET this evening.”

The Latest Update
An hour and a half before runDisney promised a Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend update, the organization took to social media with more bad news.
“To our runDisney family, we know today didn’t go as planned, and we appreciate everyone who has been waiting with us. We are still working to finalize a new registration date and time for the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. You may notice some changes on the website this evening, but registration has not started,” they wrote.

“We want to reassure everyone that we will communicate the new date and time at least 24 hours before registration opens. We don’t have those details to share just yet, and registration won’t take place this week. We’ll share another update by 8:00 PM ET tomorrow evening on runDisney social accounts.”
What Happened?
While runDisney has still not explained what exactly went wrong with today’s registration, it sounds like technical issues may have derailed its plans.
