New Permit Points to More Construction in EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion
I don’t know about you, but I start every World Showcase adventure in Mexico.
Not only is the pavilion the correct first stop on any EPCOT tour, but it is also easily my favorite.

Mexico Pavilion
Between the savory sips at Cava del Tequila, the waterside dining at San Angel Inn, and the beloved Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros, the pavilion has something for everyone!
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that the Mexico pavilion has been undergoing a refurbishment over the last several months.

So far, we have seen a new themed pavement debut and scaffolding erected outside the Mesoamerican pyramid.

Now, it looks like the refurbishment is expanding.
A New Permit Has Been Filed
Earlier today, Walt Disney Imagineering filed a new Notice of Commencement for work on the Mexico pavilion.

The new permit calls for the provision of labor, materials, and/or electrical work for construction, assigning the project to the in-house Buena Vista Construction Company.
While the new permit does not provide much information about the scope of the work, it does not sound like significant changes are in the works.

Instead, this looks like a continuation of the ongoing renovations as Mexico continues to be spruced up.
For now, all of the pavilion’s restaurants, shops, and experiences remain operational.

Perhaps we will get a better idea of the scope of the upcoming work soon.
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World.
