Disneyland Resort – Halloween and Fall 2026
Disney Parks Blog shared some exciting reveals for Halloween Time and the fall season at the Disneyland Resort!
Let’s check it all out!
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort
Halloween Time will return to the Disneyland Resort on August 21st and run through October 31st, bringing guests themed décor, character interactions, and other festivities!

But, before you jump into the season, don’t miss the chance to catch “Paint the Night” parade and “Wondrous Journeys” from August 10th through August 20th. “World of Color – ONE” will also return to Disney California Adventure (DCA) on August 10th and run through the Halloween season.

Paint the Night Parade
Halloween Festivities at Disneyland Park
Mickey, Minnie, and the whole crew will materialize in Town Square with all-new attire, featuring harlequin motifs, frilled collars and cuffs, and swirling orange, yellow, and black details!

Of course, Haunted Mansion Holiday will return for another year of chills and thrills! Just like every other year, the attraction will have a new gingerbread house, along with the regular additions of Sally, Zero, Oogie Boogie, and, of course, Jack Skellington!

Haunted Mansion Holiday
Don’t forget to take in all the decorations during the fall season! You can catch the iconic Mickey Mouse pumpkin right when you enter Main Street, U.S.A. (Is it really a fall trip to the resort without a picture with this pumpkin?)

The ring of land-themed pumpkins that surrounds the Partners Statue will debut a new addition this year, inspired by Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!
This one is teased to feature Chewbacca and the Millennium Falcon.

Of course, the season will also have some villainous appearances! Colorful projections will take over Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, U.S.A., “it’s a small world,” and the Rivers of America each evening during the “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular.

If you’re looking to add on to your Halloween visit, you can book Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour! The tour will take participants through Disneyland Park and DCA, providing “eerie tales.”
Halloween Festivities at Disney California Adventure
Over in DCA, the park takes a spookier approach to the holiday. (It is the park hosting Oogie Boogie’s villainous bash, after all.)
Oogie Boogie’s display over the park’s entrance gates will return for yet another year of bat-filled fun. Those bats will also return to Carthay Circle Restaurant. Oh–and it wouldn’t be Halloween without the Headless Horseman statue on Buena Vista Street!

Radiator Screams will once again turn Cars Land into a must-see Halloween offering, with “car-achnids,” a “pump-kin” patch, and our favorite cars dressed in their favorite “car-stumes.”
And don’t forget to check out the themed overlays at Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.
Another fun offering not many know about–don’t miss the “Sha-BOO” moment in the land, when “supernatural spirits” take over and cause the neon lights to turn on. (Spooky!)

And head over to Avengers Campus to ride its festive overlay–Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark! The overlay doesn’t kick on until the late afternoon each day, when the monsters have been let out of their cages, and Groot is left behind, needing to be saved!

Tinier guests will enjoy “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” at the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land! This special stage show will start running on August 18th.
