New Permit Indicates Changes Are Coming to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Late last year, Walt Disney World announced that a major change was coming to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT.
Like the Disneyland Paris version of the attraction, Disney decided to do away with Remy’s 3D effects and transform the ride into a 2D experience.
In addition to removing the 3D effects from the attraction’s screens, Disney promised to add new props and lighting.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure’s Single Rider Line
Eventually, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure closed from November 10 through November 13.
The Props Did Not Arrive Last November
During this refurbishment, the attraction was converted to 2D. The new props, however, were noticeably absent. Disney promised that they would be forthcoming.

“Remy’s fans will spot new props and lighting enhancements when they are added to the queue and attraction over the next few months,” Disney said.

Now, however, we have an exciting new update to share.
An Interesting New Permit
Earlier this morning, Walt Disney Imagineering filed a Notice of Commencement for work at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

The new permit calls for the installation of set elements and assigns the work to Icarus Exhibits.
If that name sounds familiar, it should.

Icarus has previously worked on numerous Walt Disney World attractions, including Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and the refurbished Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.
The company is also currently working on Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

I, for one, can’t wait to see what Disney does with the attraction.
