Check Out the FUN Cool Kids’ Summer Resort Activities!
Today is the day! Cool Kids’ Summer is officially here, and we had a great time checking out all of the fun.
The special summer celebration is taking over Disney World from May 26th through September 8th with fun, surprise character encounters, hands-on activities, and nonstop summer vibes!
But the fun is not just happening in the parks. Cool Kids’ Summer is taking over the resorts, too. Let’s go check it out!
Summer Resort Fun!
This summer, select Disney Resort hotels are bringing extra magic for families with exclusive activities, character experiences, and fun all day long.
The participating resorts include:
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
Some of the Cool Kids’ Summer fun families can enjoy includes the following:
- Scheduled Disney character appearances with favorites like Mickey & Minnie
- Disney-themed story libraries filled with princesses, heroes, and magical adventures
- Pajama parties featuring bedtime stories and surprise character visits
- Pool parties with games, music, and high-energy fun
- Campfire nights with marshmallows and Disney entertainment

While over at Art of Animation, we noticed a photo op for the event…
…as well as an area set up for kids.
We also got to see the pajama party with a surprise visit from Mickey Mouse!
Yep, he’s in his super cute pajamas.
Mickey was located in the lobby of the resort near the library area that’s been set up for Cool Kids’ Summer.
And Mickey helped read a bedtime story to the kids!
This is such a special experience!

Over at Caribbean Beach Resort, the surprise character for the night was Minnie Mouse!
She was also in some super cute pajamas.
Summer Swag
In addition to the activities, there are special complimentary bags for kids 9 and under. If you are staying at one of these resorts, you can request them at the front desk!
The bags include crayons, a bookmark, and some fun coloring pages!
Make sure to grab one if you’re at one of the 4 participating resorts!
