In addition to Cast Member previews of Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster, which are now underway, Hollywood Studios soft opened the new Walt Disney Studios Lot.
Replacing Animation Courtyard, the new land invites guests to let their imagination run wild in a recreation of The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank!

Earlier this morning, we took you on a full tour of the Walt Disney Studios Lot, highlighting the amazing architecture, Walk of Fame, and all the Disney characters found throughout the land.

Now, as the sun has set on Hollywood Studios, we are back with another update!
The Sorcerer’s Hat Illuminates at Night
While spending some time in the Walt Disney Studios Lot courtyard this evening, we were thrilled to see that the Sorcerer Mickey hat located atop the Animation Building lights up at night!

As you can see, the Sorcerer’s Hat glows with new enchantment when the sun goes down.

At dusk, glimmering lights began to turn on atop the hat.

When it finally got dark, the full effect of the illuminated hat came to life.

The iconic Disney prop looked majestic against the night sky.
The twinkling lights give the sense that the hat is almost moving.
As a reminder, the Magic of Disney Animation attraction will be housed in this building.
