In honor of the United States’ 250th birthday, the Soarin’ attractions at both EPCOT and Disney California Adventure (DCA) will receive a new journey across America!
The update will hit EPCOT on May 26th and DCA on July 2nd. Curious what this means for the current iteration running in DCA–Soarin’ Over California? Here are all the details!
Soarin’ Over California Closure – DCA
Soarin’ Over California is a fan-favorite overlay in DCA. It’s so popular that DCA brings it back every year for the park’s Food & Wine Festival.
Soarin’ Over California Returns
Typically, the California-themed overlay disappears around the same time the festival ends, bringing back Soarin’ Around the World. But this year, Soarin’ Over California (which has already outlasted the festival’s tenure in the park) will continue running through June 30th!
The attraction’s website was updated to reflect the closure:

The closure gives the park one day, July 1st, to update the attraction so Soarin’ Across America can make its big debut on July 2nd! (Just in time for the Fourth of July!)

Curious what you’ll see on this new journey? This America-inspired iteration will have guests gliding over places like the New England coastline, New York Harbor, and the Grand Canyon.

Expect to see “quintessential” American settings and listen to a new musical arrangement by Bruce Broughton.
