From there, Disney released the smaller films Send Help, which grossed $94 million, and Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, which earned $39 million globally.
‘Hoppers’
The first major Disney release of 2026, however, was Pixar’s Hoppers.

A return to form for Pixar, the animated film told the story of Mabel, a young girl who transfers her mind into a robotic beaver, giving her the ability to communicate with the animal kingdom.
“What if you could talk to animals and understand what they’re saying? In Disney and Pixar’s all-new feature film Hoppers, scientists have discovered how to ‘hop’ human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals,” the film’s synopsis reads.

By the time Hoppers finished its theatrical run, the movie had grossed $383 million worldwide, the highest total for a Pixar original since Coco.

Kicking off the summer movie season with a bang, the film has been a massive triumph for 20th Century Studios.

Reuniting Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Meryl Streep for another chic adventure inside the offices of Runway Magazine, the sequel has grossed $441 million to date and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Disney’s Biggest Films Are on the Way
While Disney has already surpassed $2 billion at the global box office, some of the company’s biggest films are still on the horizon.

Before 2026 comes to a close, The Mandalorian & Grogu, Toy Story 5, Moana, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Hexed, and Avengers: Doomsday will all hit theaters.
After an uneven 2025, Disney is once again reigning supreme at the box office.
