Savannah Bananas Star Jackson Olson Joins ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 35
For those unfamiliar with the Savannah Bananas and their unique brand of Banana Ball, the team offers a fast-paced, fan-first twist on traditional baseball that has exploded in popularity in recent years.
Thanks to their flair for theatrics, eye-catching trick plays, and genuine athletic talent, the Savannah Bananas have become social media sensations. Simply put, Banana Ball fever has swept the nation.
Disney Has Continued to Partner With the Bananas
In April 2025, The Walt Disney Company and the Savannah Bananas reached a new television agreement that brought 10 Banana Ball games to multiple platforms, including ESPN’s linear networks.

The two sides later expanded that deal to 25 games, including a matchup between the Savannah Bananas and the Party Animals on ABC.
According to a report from Front Office Sports, ESPN’s Banana Ball broadcasts averaged 502,000 viewers last season.

At Disney’s Upfront presentation today, it was also revealed that the Banana Bowl will stream on Disney+ this October.

A lifelong Disney fan, Olson will now take his talents from the baseball diamond to the ballroom floor as he competes for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy.
Also joining the cast are Ciara Miller from Summer House and Maura Higgins from Love Island.
