‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ FINALLY Gets a Disney+ Release Date

After dominating the holiday box office to the tune of $1.49 billion, Avatar: Fire and Ash has finally received a Disney+ release date.

As a quick recap, Avatar: Fire and Ash is the third installment in James Cameron’s iconic Avatar franchise.

Returning audiences to Pandora for another high-stakes adventure, Avatar: Fire and Ash not only captured the magic of the first two films but also expanded Cameron’s universe in exciting new directions.

“Jake Sully and Neytiri continue their life on Pandora with their family after the events of Avatar: The Way of Water,” the film’s synopsis reads.

“Still grieving the loss of their son Neteyam, they are drawn into a new and dangerous conflict when an aggressive Na’vi tribe known as the Ash People emerges, threatening the balance of Pandora and forcing the Sullys to confront darker forces than ever before.”

A Box Office Blockbuster

After getting off to a strong start at the box office, Avatar: Fire and Ash delivered the kind of extended theatrical run that the Avatar franchise has become known for.

By the time the dust had settled, the film had grossed $1.49 billion worldwide. That made it the third-highest-grossing film of 2025 and the 16th-highest-grossing film of all time.

While Fire and Ash failed to match the historic box office totals of its predecessors, that was largely expected, as the film arrived just four years after The Way of Water.

After once again proving that the Avatar franchise remains a box office powerhouse, Avatar: Fire and Ash has now received an official Disney+ release date.

When Will ‘Fire and Ash’ Come to Disney+

During today’s Disney Upfront presentation, it was revealed that the film will officially begin streaming on Disney+ on June 24.

So, whether you have been waiting to experience Avatar: Fire and Ash from the comfort of your own home or simply want to relive the adventure, get ready.
