‘Ahsoka’ Season 2 Will Officially Debut on Disney+ in Early 2027
The beloved series initially debuted in 2023, with Rosario Dawson portraying the fan-favorite Jedi Ahsoka Tano. After receiving rave reviews from critics and fans alike, it was quickly announced that Dave Filoni was developing a second season of the series.

The last time we checked in on the project was April 2025, when Dawson revealed that filming on Ahsoka Season 2 would begin shortly.
The Upcoming Season Was Teased at Star Wars Celebration 2025
Audiences at Star Wars Celebration 2025 also got to see a teaser for the upcoming season that featured Ahsoka Tano and Baylan Skoll fighting, Ezra Bridger jumping into action, and Grand Admiral Thrawn looming in the background.

Finally, the convention featured a surprise appearance by Hayden Christensen.
“There’s not much I can share, but Anakin will be back for season two,” Christensen announced to thunderous applause.

After months of waiting for another update, fans have finally gotten their wish.
‘Ahsoka’ Season 2 Gets a Release Window
At Disney’s Upfront presentation today, Lucasfilm announced that Ahsoka Season 2 will officially debut on Disney+ in early 2027.

While details about the upcoming season remain scarce, Dave Filoni has previously teased that viewers will see a showdown between Grand Admiral Thrawn and Admiral Ackbar.
This time, however, Ackbar will not be falling into a trap.

“It took all my effort to resist writing the line. Because I’m like, I can’t do that. That would be so lame. This guy can’t always get into the trap. You’d think he would see it this time! So there’s no way you can trap him again,” Filoni explained.
“This crowd will get it. He’s going to go head-to-head with Thrawn. So there you go. Boom! That’s what I want to see. Give him some competition, you know? What’s a Death Star compared to the blue guy?”
