Walt Disney World Wait Times for First Week of May 2026

Walt Disney World experienced another heat wave this past week.

Here are Walt Disney World’s wait times for the first week of May 2026.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

We are two weeks away from the arrival of Bluey’s Wild World.

On that date, parents will experience an almost hypnotic pull toward Conservation Station.

They know their kids need to meet Bluey in real life, and this park will make it possible.

For the time being, Animal Kingdom remains a park in transition, though.

Honestly, there’s a lot of that going around at Walt Disney World right now.

Three of the four parks are reinventing themselves on the fly, with May doubling as an inflection point.

Several new experiences will debut between now and May 26^th.

So, we’re in a holding pattern for just a few more days.

Flight of Passage

Until then, here are Animal Kingdom’s average wait times recently:

• Avatar Flight of Passage – 66 minutes, down 6
• Na’vi River Journey – 52 minutes, down 4
• Kali River Rapids – 44 minutes, up 3
• Adventurers Outpost – 36 minutes, up 1
• Expedition Everest – 35 minutes, down 11
• Kilimanjaro Safaris – 33 minutes, no change
• Zootopia: Better Zoogether! – 17 minutes, down 1

Overall, guests waited an average of 40 minutes for each attraction.

That’s three minutes less than last time, with Expedition Everest down notably.

Here’s a park that did have something happening last week.

Park Passes sold out on this date, proving that demand was high on at least one day.

So, how were the park’s overall crowds last week? Here are the average wait times:

• Slinky Dog Dash – 68 minutes, down 1
• Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – 60 minutes, down 3
• Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway – 48 minutes, no change
• Toy Story Mania! – 48 minutes, up 3
• Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – 45 minutes, down 4
• Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – 43 minutes, up 5
• Red Carpet Dreams – 36 minutes, no change
• Alien Swirling Saucers – 31 minutes, no change
• Celebrity Spotlight – 19 minutes, no change
• Star Tours – The Adventures Continue! – 12 minutes, up 3

Overall, Hollywood Studios attractions averaged a wait of 41 minutes each.

That’s two minutes less than last time. So, we’re trending down thus far.

EPCOT

Disney just confirmed the dates for the 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

As has been the recent custom, this event won’t begin until the end of August.

So, we’ve got about three more weeks of the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival.

Toward the end of those dates, Cool Kids’ Summer will arrive as well.

This offering will be the primary EPCOT festivity from June through mid-August.

For now, Flower & Garden continues to draw in the crowds, though, just as it always has.

Overall, the average Magic Kingdom attraction required a wait of 28 minutes.

That’s one minute more than last time, which means we’ve got a bit of a split this week.

Two parks lowered their wait times, one held even, and the fourth ticked up ever so slightly.

Overall, Walt Disney World’s average attraction wait time fell to 37 minutes.

That’s one minute less than the previous week. So, it was a tick slower last week.

Usually, early May is a bit slower, meaning this trend should continue for a couple of weeks.
