Walt Disney World Brings Cool Kids’ Summer Fun to Central Florida Schools

Walt Disney World is kicking off Cool Kids’ Summer with a big celebration for Central Florida students, teachers, and schools.

The seasonal event is back and officially kicks off on May 26! To get ready for the summer fun, Disney announced a $1.3 million investment supporting local education programs.

Even better? It included surprise visits and special experiences directly to the area elementary schools.

Goofy Brings the Fun

Disney visited elementary schools across Orange, Osceola, Lake, Polk, and Seminole counties to give students a sneak peek of the playful fun coming to GoofyCore at EPCOT this summer.

Kindergarten and pre-K students participated in silly games, dancing, and interactive activities alongside Goofy and the Goof Troop.

The energetic school visits gave students a chance to experience some Disney magic just before summer officially begins.

The students were not the only ones to experience early summer fun! After the students headed home, teachers, administrators, and school staff were invited to stay for extra games and surprises.

Disney also gifted educators complimentary Walt Disney World tickets for their families as a thank-you for their hard work throughout the school year.

Along with the school celebrations, Walt Disney World announced a $1.3 million investment supporting education initiatives across Central Florida.

Funding will benefit local school districts and nonprofit organizations like Elevate Orlando and A Gift for Teaching. It will also benefit arts and STEM programs, including Disney Musicals in Schools and the Orlando Philharmonic Young People’s Concert series.
