They say you should never meet your heroes, but we just did, and we have no complaints.
A few months ago, Terra Treats in Animal Kingdom debuted the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich, which is a brownie layered with vanilla ice cream, topped with chocolate chips and edible cookie dough. Genius, right?!

From the moment it arrived in the park, it attracted huge crowds, and with one bite, we understood why. We’d do anything to thank the creators of this masterpiece, and we now know who they are!

Chef Kellie, the Pastry Chef of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Joe, a Pastry Cook 1 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Bakery, are the brilliant minds behind our favorite park treat! Kellie says she immediately knew she “struck gold” with this creation and literally screamed after taking a bite. (Honestly, us too.)

She loves being a Disney Chef because she gets to create memories.
Joe touched on the treat’s ability to invoke “nostalgic memory,” taking guests back to when they were little and enjoyed an ice cream cake at a birthday party. (A classic Ratatouille-style food-transporting-you-to-childhood moment, if you will.)
