Rapunzel Returns in New Trailer for ‘Sofia the First: Royal Magic’ on Disney+
Disney is bringing Princess Sofia back for a brand-new magical adventure, and fans already have a reason to be excited.
The official trailer for Sofia the First: Royal Magic just dropped today, giving viewers a first look at the new series and a surprise appearance!

Rupunzel will appear in the premiere episode when the show launches later this month on Disney Jr. and Disney+.
A New Chapter for Sofia

Sofia the First: Royal Magic follows Sofia as she begins attending the Charmswell School for Royal Magic.
While there, she discovers she may be the most magical princess in the kingdom. Now, she must learn how to control her powers while making new royal friends along the way.

The series premieres Monday, May 25, on Disney Jr. and Disney Jr. On Demand at 7 a.m. ET/PT.
Disney+ subscribers in the United States and select international markets can stream the first eight episodes on Tuesday, May 26.
Rapunzel Makes a Special Appearance
One of the biggest moments in the new trailer is the return of Rapunzel.
The beloved Disney Princess appears in the premiere episode and films are loving the crossover.
The trailer also introduces several new characters attending Charmswell School alongside Sofia, including Princess Layla, Princess Camila, and Prince Zane.
New Shorts Are Streaming Now

Disney has also released a short-form series called Sofia the First: Magical Friends.
The shorts are already available on Disney Jr., Disney+, and the Disney Jr. YouTube channel. They introduce viewers to Charmswell School, Sofia’s royal classmates, and the castle pets, including Pepper the Puppercorn.

The original Sofia the First premiered in 2012 and became one of Disney’s most successful preschool franchises. The series has generated over $1 billion in retail sales, over 3 billion hours watched worldwide, and more than 3,000 publishing titles globally.
