PHOTOS: New Signage Installed Across the Walt Disney Studios Lot at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
In less than three weeks, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will get an infusion of new magic when the Walt Disney Studios Lot officially opens.
Replacing Animation Courtyard, the new land will recreate Disney’s iconic Burbank studio campus, inviting guests to bring their imagination to life at The Magic of Disney Animation Experience, explore the Drawn to Wonderland playground, and enjoy Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!

The land will also feature a new version of Mickey’s iconic Sorcerer’s Hat.

If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that the Walt Disney Studios Lot has been coming together nicely.

The last time we checked in, work had wrapped up on the new Walt Disney Studios billboard mural.
Now, we have another update to share.
When visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios this afternoon, we were thrilled to see that new signage had been installed throughout the Walt Disney Studios Lot.
The Magic of Disney Animation
The future home of The Magic of Disney Animation now features a large “Animation” sign.
As you can see, the marquee sits in front of the Sorcerer’s Hat.
Here is another look.
The sign looks amazing!
The new marquee seems to draw inspiration from the Animation building at the real Walt Disney Studios.

That facility has subsequently been renamed the Roy E. Disney Animation Building.

The font and sign structure, however, are nearly identical.
Studio Theater
As previously promised, The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure theater has officially been renamed “Studio Theater.”
The soundstage now features a large entrance sign that matches the Animation building’s marquee.
Here is a closer look.
While the Studio Theater has been repainted over the past several weeks, it continues to feature large advertisements for Disney productions.
They are now joined by the completed Walt Disney Studios billboard mural.
All in all, the Walt Disney Studios Lot looks fantastic!
