Disneyland Wait Times for May 2026
We haven’t quite reached the summer vacation season yet, but it’s coming soon.
Once Memorial Day arrives, tourists will flock to The Happiest Place on Earth.

Before then, let’s settle up on the most recent month, which featured some big events.
We had Easter and Spring, both of which typically boost tourism. Let’s find out whether they did in the Disneyland wait times for May 2026.

The prevailing belief is that theme parks are a financial bellwether.
When tourists have disposable income, they’re likely to visit the parks.
So, when attendance drops at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, Wall Street flips out.

I mention this because the average price of gas in America is about $4.25 right now.
At the start of the year, gas cost just $2.89 per gallon, and it’s having an effect.

The overall economy has been sluggish in 2026, which places a spotlight on Disney.
The company reports its quarterly earnings this week. Everyone will be watching.

Should Disney’s parks indicate lower revenue and attendance, a meltdown is inevitable.
As things stand, Universal Studios’ earnings weren’t as good as hoped. So, we’ve got a fascinating backdrop for this month’s ratings.
We know that Easter Week and Spring Break aligned in some parts of the country.
Easter Week on its own was wildly crowded at the parks, and that wasn’t all.
Some school systems took an even later Spring Break, which was just cruel to their students.

Honestly, this is one of those months when I have no idea what to expect.
Let’s just evaluate the wait times and draw our conclusions after the fact.
Disneyland Park Wait Times
Here are Disneyland Park’s average wait times in April:
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – 67 minutes, up 2
- Space Mountain – 64 minutes, up 5
- Indiana Jones Adventure – 56 minutes, up 2
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – 53 minutes, down 7
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway – 49 minutes, up 3
- Matterhorn Bobsleds – 47 minutes, up 2
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – 46 minutes, up 4
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – 44 minutes, up 3
- Haunted Mansion – 43 minutes, up 2
- Peter Pan’s Flight – 38 minutes, up 2
- Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters – 35 minutes, up 7
- Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster – 34 minutes, up 4
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant – 33 minutes, up 3
- Jungle Cruise – 33 minutes, n/a
- Astro Orbiter – 32 minutes, up 6
- Pirates of the Caribbean – 32 minutes, up 2
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue! – 32 minutes, down 6

- Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes – 14 minutes, up 4

- King Arthur Carrousel – 12 minutes, up 1
- Disneyland Railroad – 11 minutes, no change
Overall, Disneyland guests stood in line for an average of 32 minutes per attraction.
That’s two minutes more than last time and possibly a relief to Wall Street.

We still have the other park to check, though, and Disney California Adventure can be mercurial.
Sometimes, this park goes up or down, independent of what’s happening at Disneyland.
Cars Land Lighting
So, what happened last month? Here are the park’s average wait times for April:
- Radiator Springs Racers – 102 minutes, up 8
- Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! – 93 minutes, no change
- Soarin’ Over California – 67 minutes, down 10
- Toy Story Midway Mania! – 62 minutes, up 3
- WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure – 57 minutes, up 4
- Goofy’s Sky School – 52 minutes, up 3
- Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley – 51 minutes, up 3
- The Incredicoaster – 48 minutes, down 4
- Grizzly River Run – 41 minutes, down 20
- Pixar Pal-A-Round – 38 minutes, up 2
- Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters – 37 minutes, up 4
- The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure – 33 minutes, up 1
- Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree – 29 minutes, up 5
- Jumpin’ Jellyfish – 17 minutes, down 7
- Silly Symphony Swings – 17 minutes, up 1
- Golden Zephyr – 15 minutes, up 2
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic – 13 minutes, no change
- Jessie’s Critter Carousel – 10 minutes, down 1
Overall, DCA guests waited for an average of 43 minutes per attraction.
That’s the same as last time, albeit in an odd way. As you can see, several attractions were up a lot, while others dropped substantially.
In the case of Grizzly River Run, it had only recently reopened last time.

That fact inflated its prior wait time. Similarly, Soarin’ Over California has a known behavior.
When this beloved ride first returns, its crowds are huge before gradually tapering off.

So, none of what you’re seeing here is surprising, even if it looks a bit odd.
