California Announces New Disneyland License Plates Are on the Way

California fans will soon have the opportunity to celebrate The Happiest Place on Earth with a new Disneyland license plate.
The California State Treasurer’s Office announced today that the Disneyland-themed specialty license plate will raise money for children’s hospitals across California.

The plates will move into production after 7,500 people join the preorder list, which is available on the Treasurer’s website.
What’s Next
Once the quota is met, the Department of Motor Vehicles will begin reviewing the design.

State officials expect the final design to be completed and presale orders to open in the coming months.
The specialty plates will cost $50 for standard versions and $103 for personalized plates. Annual renewal fees will be $40 or $83, depending on the plate type.

The Plates Will Raise Money For Children’s Hospitals
The popular Walt Disney World vanity plates have long raised money for Make-A-Wish. As noted, the new California plates will instead benefit children’s hospitals across the state.

- Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital
- Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford
- MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach
- Rady Children’s Health Orange County
- Rady Children’s Health San Diego
- UC Davis Children’s Hospital
- UC Irvine Health Children’s Hospital
- UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital
- UC San Diego Health Children’s Hospital
- UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland
- UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco
- Valley Children’s Hospital
