May the 4th Be With You is finally here after weeks of anticipation, and we’re at Walt Disney World taking in all the galactic offerings. So far, we’ve explored the holiday’s themed art, exclusive merchandise, novelty items, Starbucks mugs, and much more. But we’re still only getting started!
So, without further delay, let’s head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to fuel up for more Star Wars fun with some May the 4th eats and drinks.

We’re here at Backlot Express, where they’re serving up some themed eats and drinks in honor of May the 4th!

We’ll start with our favorite item–the new Your Chosen Path Cupcake! The cookies-and-cream cupcake comes with marshmallow buttercream, a white chocolate X-wing, and milk chocolate rocks. Once you bite into the treat, a secret lightsaber color inside will reveal itself, showing you your true allegiance.
The treat is $6.79.

This is a fantastic treat! It has a subtle cookies-and-cream flavor that delivers a sweet experience without being too overpowering. (Some cupcakes on-property have a tendency to cross that threshold.)
And don’t let the marshmallow frosting deter you. It’s also not packed with sugar.

Cutting into your cupcake to see where your loyalty lies was a fun addition! (We got the light side.)
The cake was moist, and the ratio of cake to frosting was perfect. We highly recommend grabbing this treat while it’s served here through May 31st!

Now…we wish we had the same experience with the Chosen One Cooler With Vodka. The drink is a blend of Granny Smith apple with white cranberry and lime juices, served with a green rechargeable Luke Skywalker Lightsaber Swizzle Stick. Absolut Citron Vodka can be added to the drink for an extra charge. (We opted for the addition.)
The drink will set you back $26 (a hefty price tag, but keep in mind it’s alcoholic and comes with a novelty item).

So, we’re not going to sugar-coat it–it’s not great. We hoped the alcoholic version would tame the apple flavor, and we stirred vigorously, hoping that would take effect, but we couldn’t get past the intense apple Jolly Rancher taste. The vodka certainly helped dial it back a bit, but it was still very overpowering.
If you don’t like apple-flavored items–especially as strong as a Jolly Rancher–we’d recommend skipping this drink.
The swizzle stick is a fun addition, though, and comes with a charging cord. So there’s that!
