PHOTOS: South Point Pool Reopens at Disney’s Old Key West Resort
If you’ve been following along here at MickeyBlog, you know that the resorts at Walt Disney World have undergone numerous refurbishments in recent months.
Over the past year, work has continued on the Grand Floridian lobby overhaul at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Stormalong Bay has undergone an extensive refurbishment, room updates have proceeded at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, and renovations have begun at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Finally, in March, we brought you the news that the South Point Pool at Disney’s Old Key West Resort was closing for routine maintenance.
At the time, it was expected that the pool would remain closed through April.

Now, it is my pleasure to announce that it has reopened.
South Point Pool’s New Look
While visiting Disney’s Old Key West Resort this afternoon, we were thrilled to see that the South Point Pool has, in fact, reopened.

While the basic shape and structure of the pool remain unchanged, it has received a new color scheme.

The tile around the pool now features a yellow, white, and blue pattern, complete with a lighthouse image.

Here is another look.

The new tiling really gives the pool some character.

All in all, the entire South Point Pool looks great.
Refurbished Playground
The nearby playground has also reopened.

So, if you have an upcoming trip to Disney’s Old Key West Resort, make sure you stop by for some fun in the sun.
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World.
