It’s a new month full of new fun, and we can’t wait to experience everything Disney World has in store for us. From the return of a sorely missed attraction to the continuation of a popular springtime festival, we’re in for an exciting month!

So, to help you keep up with all the fun around the resort this month, we’ve compiled a list of everything happening in May 2026!
Disney World – May 2026
EPCOT
2026 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival
The 2026 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival continues this month, bringing park guests spring-inspired activities…

…entertainment…

…merchandise…

…and, of course, eats and drinks!

Remember–you don’t need a special ticket to enjoy these festival offerings. All EPCOT guests are invited–and encouraged–to dive into the festival while it’s still around!

Disney After Hours at EPCOT
Disney After Hours at EPCOT will take over the park on May 21st from 9:30PM to 12:30AM!

The event offers lower wait times for popular attractions, complimentary snacks, special character experiences, and the ability to enter the park as early as 7PM.

Hollywood Studios
Disney After Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney After Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will take place on the following dates:
- May 6th
- May 14th
- May 30th
The event will run from 9:30PM to 12:30AM on all dates except May 30th, when it will run from 10:30PM to 1:30AM.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run Updates
Some exciting changes will hit Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run on May 22nd!
A new mission featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu will hit the attraction, tasking riders with helping them track down ex-Imperial officers! Riders will also be able to control their destination, with adventures on Bespin, the wreckage of the Second Death Star, and Coruscant as possible options.

And Engineers will finally have more to do during the ride! They will soon be able to communicate with Grogu during the mission!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Debuts
On May 26th, groupies can head over to the newly reimagined Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets!

We already know the attraction will be filled with celebrity cameos…

Magic Kingdom
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Updates Debut
Following an over-year-long closure, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will finally reopen on May 3rd and debut some exciting updates!

The refurbishment included a new track and passenger trains, resulting in an updated height requirement–38″! (That means tinier passengers will be able to ride the attraction!)
Perhaps the most exciting update is the new magic found throughout the attraction, including glorious caverns, phosphorescent pools, stalagmites, stalacites, and more!

Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom
Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom will hit the park from 10PM to 1AM on the following dates:
- May 4th
- May 11th
- May 18th
- May 25th

Memorial Day will take place on May 25th, so you can expect large crowds over the weekend leading up to the holiday, and of course, on Memorial Day.
