Every year, limited-time, galactic offerings debut/return for the big holiday.
This year, fans of the franchise can celebrate with themed merchandise, novelty items, eats and drinks, a ride overlay, and much more!

But you don’t have to be in the parks to experience the fun! Tons of merchandise will debut on the Disney Store website this May 4th–including a limited edition doll.

A Padmé Amidala Limited Edition Collector’s Doll is arriving on the Disney Store this May 4th at 8AM PT!

There was no way Disney could make a Padmé Amidala doll without dressing her in the iconic Naboo outfit from Star Wars: Attack of the Clones!
Disney Parks Blog gave us a closer look into the making of this doll! Let’s dive in.

The doll resembles Padmé, and is wearing her dreamy ombré dress, adorned with the matching necklace, arm cuffs, and dress charm, inspired by mother of pearl.

Since the team had never created a doll for Natalie Portman, they had to sculpt it from scratch!

The whole process to make a doll–from concept to production–takes approximately a year.
Every detail takes an immense amount of time, due to the difficulty of creating such small outfits. Fabric doesn’t drape the same way on miniature dolls as it does on us, so it requires time to nail down the look.

This doll is so detailed–we hope to see more themed after characters from Star Wars!
