Hong Kong Disneyland Hits Near-Record Profits with Expansion and New Experiences
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) just shared its business results for the fiscal year 2025 and the latest resort developments.
In yesterday’s press release, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort shared details on one of its strongest years on record, reporting major financial gains, high attendance, and continued expansion plans.

For fiscal year 2025, the resort generated HK$8.694 billion in revenue, HK$536 million in net profit, and HK$1.989 billion in EBITDA.
It also saw attendance rise as it climbed to 7.5 million visitors, while guest spending per person hit a record high, up 2% year over year. Hotel occupancy also rose to about 79%.

The resort also reached a major milestone by fully repaying all shareholder loans, leaving it debt-free for the first time in its history.
The company noted that this performance came despite challenges including increased outbound travel from Hong Kong, global economic uncertainty, and extreme weather.

A major driver was the park’s 20th anniversary celebration, “The Most Magical Party of All!”
The special celebration offered new entertainment like the “Friendtastic!” parade, updated castle shows, and nighttime spectaculars drying in new and returning visitors.
The resort also expanded its reach through new marketing campaigns across Asia and hosted tourism events in cities such as Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul, and Manila.

New and updated attractions helped improve guest experience to a record level. Enhancements included updates to Jungle River Cruise, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, and new dining.
Seasonal events like a snowy Christmas in World of Frozen also drove strong attendance.
Hong Kong Economy and the Future
Beyond the parks, Hong Kong Disneyland continues to play a major economic role. Over 20 years, it has contributed HK$167.5 billion to the economy and created over 342,000 jobs.
Looking ahead, new experiences are already in development. A robotic Olaf will debut in World of Frozen, Pixar Summer Fest launches June 12, and a new Pixar theatrical attraction is set for next year.
A Marvel expansion is also underway, bringing a new attraction and immersive experiences inspired by Tony Stark.
